Privacy Policy
This policy explains how T J Entwistle Plumbing & Heating handles the personal information you provide through this website.
Who we are
T J Entwistle Plumbing & Heating is the data controller for the information collected through this website. The business provides plumbing, heating, boiler and bathroom services to homeowners in Bolton, Bury and surrounding areas.
Information we collect
We only collect what you choose to send us. If you complete an enquiry form, that is your name, mobile number, postcode, the type of work you need help with and any details or photographs you add. If you call or message on WhatsApp, we hold the details of that conversation.
We also record which page an enquiry came from and, where present, the advertising or campaign information contained in the web address you arrived on. This tells us which adverts are working. It is not shown to you and is not used to build a profile about you.
How we use it
Your information is used to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quotation, carry out work you ask us to do and keep a record of that work. We do not sell your information and we do not use it for unrelated marketing.
Lawful basis
We rely on your consent when you submit an enquiry, and on our legitimate interest in responding to potential and existing customers. Where we go on to carry out work, we process your information to perform that contract, and we keep records where the law requires it.
Who we share it with
We share your information only where it is needed to carry out your job — for example with a supplier or a tradesperson working on your project — or where we are required to do so by law. Where the enquiry forms on this website are connected to a customer enquiry management system, that provider will process enquiries on our behalf. This section will be updated to name any such provider once it is connected.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not go ahead are kept only as long as they are useful to us. Records relating to completed work are kept for as long as we need them for warranty, safety and legal purposes.
Cookies and measurement
This website uses the cookies and storage needed to make it work and to remember your cookie choice. Where you agree to analytics and advertising cookies, we may use measurement tools from Google (Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and Google Ads) and Meta (the Meta Pixel and Conversions API) to understand how the site is used and how well our advertising works. These tools receive information about the pages you visit and the actions you take (such as starting a quotation), not the contents of your enquiry. They only run after you choose "Accept all" on the cookie banner, and you can withdraw at any time by clearing your stored cookie choice and choosing "Essential only". Our Cookie Policy explains this in more detail.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we are using it. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
